Shay Kashif

“Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.”

I'm the founder of tagme, a platform redefining how we find valuable connection in the digital age. If you'd like to read more about our mission, you can do so here, and if you want to be part of the team, reach me at shay [at] plstag [dot] me.

Before tagme, I've worn many hats over the years, working with LoRa, IoT, encryption, and also doing water research for EBMUD.

Much of my work has also extended into the financial sector, including in philanthropic private equity at Merton and consulting and quantitative finance work across the sector.

Outside of all that, I also have an ardent passion for student journalism and defending free speech. I am a Director at the Purdue Student Publishing Foundation, the non-profit that oversees the award-winning Purdue Exponent—Indiana's largest collegiate newspaper, and one of two in the country to operate its own printing press. In the past, I was on the editorial board of The Exonian, the oldest high-school newspaper in America, and founded the Winton Oracle.

I also do analog and digital photography, which you can find on this website. I develop my own film and do printmaking, so if you're interested in a print of one of my photos, please reach out!

This website is primarily just the radio station from which I broadcast my musings out into the cosmos, and it appears you have stumbled upon it. Feel free to say hi at shay [at] shaykas [dot] com.
